USI Industrial Services’ work on the Ponca City Refinery included construction and installation of the main components of a coker unit during a 33-day outage. Two 230-ton coke drums were set onto temporary stands, a new superstructure was built around the drums and piping was installed. USI Industrial Services also constructed a new penthouse with a derrick structure. The single lift of the 500-ton penthouse and derrick structure was completed using one of the largest cranes in the world.
Owned by Phillips 66, the Ponca City Refinery specializes in the production of transportation fuels and anode-grade petroleum coke. These refined petroleum products are distributed throughout the Midcontinent Region.
