OEG, Inc. was instrumental in the construction of the Multnomah County Central Courthouse. The 17-story, 460,000-square-foot courthouse opened to the public in 2020 in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon.
The courthouse has 44 state-of-the-art courtrooms and other new amenities. The building features a docket board on each floor to help guide citizens, a law library and legal resource center, an expanded CourtCare — a daycare available to parents doing business in the courthouse — and a coffee area that is run by the Oregon Commission for the Blind. The courthouse also has a secure sallyport, which is an area where defendants who are in custody can be brought into the building.
The LEED Gold-certified courthouse is exceptionally energy efficient. It features rooftop solar panels, radiant floor heating, daylighted courtrooms, green roofs and a vacuum waste system.
OEG, an Everus company, is proud to support projects such as the Multnomah County Central Courthouse that offer essential services for the state of Oregon. The facility’s LEED Gold Certification proves OEG’s expert use of emerging technology to reduce environmental impact.
