OEG, Inc. provided complete electrical engineering services for the Adobe OR1 Data Center DH2 expansion. The project included system power studies to increase rack capacities in specific areas, fault current and coordination studies, Neher-McGrath calculations and lighting design services to upgrade the building’s lighting to an all-LED system.
OEG’s installation work included a 2.5MW generator, two 1100 KVA UPS, all distribution equipment, VESDA system, VRLA battery monitoring system and a power monitoring system.
The Adobe DH2 expansion is the first 2.5MW capacity increase to the data center since it was completed in May 2013. This is Adobe’s only data center, and it fills several roles for the company. The data center has served as a research and application development hub for consolidating major site server rooms to this facility for economies of scale.
